  Giant Grab Bag!

Too much to list!  See below for the major items.  Winning bid takes the lot.  This gear was packed into and filled a 50 gallon fiber barrel.  It was used as a CB station for many years until it was put into storage a few years ago.

Contact Carl Eliason to make an offer. 707-252-9026.  Bids start at $150, winner takes all.  Contact N6XN to view the amplifier and the monitor, the remainder of the gear is in Carl's possession. Click thumbnail photo for a larger view.

1. Heathkit SB-220 2KW linear amplifier. Not tested.  Needs a thorough cleaning before power is applied. The editor highly recommends Harbach mods be added BEFORE power is applied.  This could be made into a serious amplifier if $250 is invested in the mods. Contact N6XN for more information. Note: This unit must be disassembled to ship. Pick up or local delivery only!
2. Heathkit SB-610 Station Monitor.  CRT lights and traces appear sharp and clear. Vertical position pot is frozen. Might be loosened with patience, worst case needs replacing.  Easy job.  Overall condition: Fair.
3. Yaesu FT-101 Transceiver.  This is one of the first Yaesu Transceivers (pre-alpha). Very popular with the CB crowd.  This unit probably never saw service on the Ham Bands.  Carl says it receives but won't transmit. "May be another diode." Originally sold in Japan in 1970 and then in the US in 1971. Serial # 209220, may be an upgraded unit.  (serial #s below 25000 had serious intermod  problems).  Appearance: fair to good.
4. Yaesu FV-101 External VFO. Matching unit for the FT-101.  Looks good, not tested.
5. Yaesu Landliner Phone patch. Has anyone "made a phone patch" in the last 5 years?  Collectors item.
6. Yaesu VC-305 Frequency counter. Looks good, not tested. If it works, it will work with any transmitter.
7. CDE TR-44 rotor with control box. Needs work. Severe corrosion to the aluminum base where it was mounted to the tower shelf.  Mounting bolts are snapped off and will need extraction.  These rotors can be rebuilt, all parts are readily available at a reasonable cost, and theoretically can "last forever".
8. Drake W-4 Wattmeter. this model has a remotable pickup. Nice condition.  Has a short (3 foot) cable so the pickup can be mounted behind the radio and the meter can sit on the dashboard or wherever.
9. Many cables for the above equipment plus 75 feet of RG8, (2) CB transceivers (ancient), speakers, microphones, voltmeters, Wattmeters.

Carl would like to sell this equipment as a single lot.  Please don't ask him to piece it out!  "Single-stream" recycling will take anything with a cord that you want to get rid of.

11/3/06    Free.  Heathkit manuals.  Many different models available. Contact Ron,  Napa. Ron W6BIS
